2008 Street Party
The 2008 Street Party on Sunday 20 July proved lively as ever despite cooler weather than our normal baking conditions. We were entertained by a jazz band and an even more fiendish jigsaw from Ruth and Paul kept us puzzling until well after the official end time. Huge thanks to all involved in making the day a success, particularly Dawn for coordinating the activities, Peter for the bunting and 'planets' game, Ruth for again arranging the road closure and Anne Davison for fetching the signs from Ringmer.

2007 Street Party
The 2007 Street Party was on Sunday 22 July, and as well as the usual attractions featured music from members of Lewes Folk Club and Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band, bicycle repair lady Anne and a fiendish jigsaw contributed by Ruth and Paul (by the time everybody had had a go we managed to finish just before dusk). Again many thanks to all involved in making the day a success, particularly Dawn for coordinating the activities and Ruth for again arranging the road closure and fetching the signs from Ringmer.

2006 Street Party
The 2006 Street Party took place on the hot afternoon of Sunday 23 July, with barbecues, face painting, children designing signs for Paddock Road and boules in the street. Children and adults alike enjoyed the games of bagatelle and shove halfpenny. Many thanks to all involved in clearing the street, putting up bunting and making the day a success.

Street Party 2005

The 2005 Street Party took place on Sunday 21st August and was another great success. Thanks to everyone who helped towards it.

THANKS TO EVERYONE!

The 2004 street party on August 1st took place in baking hot sunshine, with live guitar music, lots of excellent food and a painting competition on the theme of the street. For just a few glorious, sweet hours, we took over the road and didn't have to worry about traffic. Plenty of good ideas were placed on our ideas map - including demolition of the gents loo to make a compost recycling area, and access by rope bridge from Paddock Road over the allotments and into the Paddock.

Great party - hope it becomes an annual fixture!
